MagicPass at Disneyland Paris – Room keys, park tickets, food vouchers and more…

In 2018 Disneyland Paris launched the MagicPass, a multifunction and contactless card that allows you to bump having to carry around lots of different bits of paper when you stay in a Disney Hotel.

MagicPass is quickly being rolled out across the resort with the Hotel New York being the first to receive the benefit, the Newport Bay, Santa Fe and Cheyenne are likely next.

– What are the services offered by the Magic Pass?
– room keys (Newport Bay, Santa Fe, and Cheyenne at launch) [New York and Disneyland Hotel likely to follow after refurbishment]
– park tickets
– meal tickets
– tickets for “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show…. with Mickey and friends!” dinner show
– special event tickets (Halloween, RunDisney, etc.)
– add-ons (birthday cakes, Character breakfast, etc.)
– hotel charge documentation (easypass type stuff)

This pass does not include shop discounts and excursions, among other things, whose format will remain paper.

Why
“Disneyland Paris is continuously working to improve its services and processes so that guests have the simplest and most magical experience possible. The MagicPass will give our guests a more convenient experience, bringing together essential services for a seamless stay at our resort.”

When
“To ensure a smooth roll-out for our guests, the Magic Pass will be implemented in waves. The first hotel will be Disney’s Hotel New York, starting March 12.”

Groups
“To ensure a smooth roll-out for our guests, the MagicPass will be implemented in waves. The MagicPass will be available for groups later.”

What happens if my card is lost, stolen, or demagnetized?
“If the card is stolen, lost, or demagnetized, the card will be canceled and replaced, and guests can continue to enjoy its benefits. Guests can obtain a new MagicPass in the hotels or parks (City Hall or Guest Relations).”

Why aren’t we using the MagicBand that Walt Disney World uses in Florida?
“Disneyland Paris is continuously working to improve its services and processes so that guests have the simplest and most magical experience possible. We chose the solution best suited to our own resort and its facilities.”

On the plus side – this new card gives Disney Hotel guests another pretty cool souvenir to take home 😀
